After steel rebars rust and expand as water seeps in, concrete walls and foundations with minimal protection are prone to cracking. Water seepage can also cause defects in painted walls. If left unattended, these might cause catastrophic structural damage.

Holcim Aqua X contains Active Water Repellent Boosters, which help to prevent harm from occurring. When compared to current procedures, such as applying a repellent to walls or including a water-proofing component in the concrete mix, these make it easier to construct water-resistant structures.

“This new product demonstrates our unique edge in inventing fascinating products,” says Horia Adrian, President and CEO of Holcim Philippines. It also demonstrates that we pay attention to our customers in order to understand their needs and offer creative products that help them build better.”

Adrian remarked, “This continues our historic tradition of introducing sustainable goods that give excellent performance.”

Last March, the new product was introduced to key clients in Davao, and by the end of the year, it will be available throughout Mindanao. Holcim Aqua X is the company’s newest product, as it continues to roll out specialized construction solutions to meet the needs of builders in the country. (
